. From 1985, whilst continuing her post graduate studies at the Belgrade Academy of Music, Marina worked as an accompanist at the Belgrade National Opera as well as a piano teacher at the L.Davicho College for Music and Ballet. As her reputation grew in the music world, she was invited to UK to tutor students of the Purcell School of Music in 1987. Having moved to London in 1989, she continued her solo and accompanist career performing in major concert halls across the UK and in Europe, playing in many countries including Russia, Ukraine, Norway and Balkan States. She has also been involved in different musical project and made numerous recordings. In 1998, she obtained a Degree of Master of Arts (Performance Studies) by studying at City University, (London) and was awarded Sir Jack & Lady Lyons Performance Scholarship. As well as teaching piano at Watford School of Music and privately, Marina has established herself as an organiser and promoter of many musical events helping young artists to further their careers. Furthermore, her class of students were also noticed on the UK musical scene as they won many awards and prizes at competitions and festivals. Concerned that students also recognise the physical demands of playing, Marina also joined the International Society for the Study of Tension in Performance (ISSTIP) in 1998, working closely with Professor Carola Grindea focusing on preventing of musician's physical problems and injuries. She has been also helping ISSTIP working as a Secretary for several years and has been organising ISSTIP Journal since 2008. In addition, Marina has given a seminar at Thames Valley University on her previously published article in ISSTIP Journal No 14, Prevention of Occupational Injury in Pianists. Her remarkable work has been widely noticed both internationally and in the British press including The Times. She was also invited to make a contribution to International Who's is Who in Music and Musicians from 1993.
